Why do you do that?!

If you have ever lived with a new roommate, significant other or a spouse then you have most likely uttered that statement a time of two. Everyone always says one the hardest things about living with your significant other is learning about all of their weird quirks. Now I'm not going to lie, but I believe that Pat and I got it pretty easy for this "big" change in our lives. There weren't too many things that one of us did that were just too annoying. The biggest change I had to make was how I put the silverware in the dishwasher. Seriously. And let's be honest here, if that means he'll do the dishes then I will flip those babies upside down all he wants!

Of course I do wish that Pat was cleaner, and I wish I didn't have to bug him about picking his clothes up off the floor. Which speaking of, does this apply to anyone else out there or just me? Because I am almost positive that this is Pat's mindset about putting his clothes away...

He still lives in the world of "the closer to the hamper, the dirtier the clothes." I still don't understand that world. Oh well!

The biggest quirk that he has is honestly a running joke in our house. I have never met someone else who does this, and I laughed out loud when I walked into our house yesterday and saw this-

It never fails! Whenever Pat is putting dishes away or even just getting a cup for water, he leaves a cabinet or drawer open. Every. Single. Time. He now knows what is going on whenever I bust out laughing when I walk into our kitchen, and he will run in there to close it. It's such a strange quirk for him to have, but at least it's a strange quirk that always brings a smile to my face!

What weird quirks did you have to get used to when you got a new roommate or moved in with your significant other?

And just so that husband of mine never forgets....

;)
